The Da Capo Duo's performances lead their listeners on a musical journey of lush sounds, comforting rhythm, and stunning precision. Their music is moving without being overly dramatic, intricate without parading empty virtuosity, and just plain fun to hear.
The Da Capo Duo was first united musically through Piazolla's "Histoire du Tango." After a fruitless search for more compelling flute and guitar music, they chose instead to create their own original of works selected from a variety of genres and instrumentations from Debussy to Gershwin to the Beatles.
Their arrangements preserve the composer's original ideas while highlighting the best characteristics of each instrument. These arrangements display the versatility of the guitar as both an accompanist and soloist and the strong lyrical voice of the flute.
