SUMMARY:Marcus Simbol's Solo Recital
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Saturday\, March 16th at 6:00 pm for Marcus Simbol’s solo recital! \n5th Grader Marcus Simbol began studying guitar at Da Capo in 2014. Since then he has performed in numerous student recitals and recently began studying voice. He is a district wide spelling bee champion and performed in the Blackberry Creek Elementary School Talent Show. Marcus has an uncanny ability to solve the Rubik’s Cube (even while blindfolded!) and has participated in several Rubik’s Cube Competitions. Marcus loves math\, magic tricks\, roller skating\, and biking. DESCRIPTION:Rachel Lowe\, a talented and hard-working flute student\, began studying at Da Capo in 2011. In 2015\, Rachel won the Director’s Award in her 8th Grade Band. She was selected to participate in the ILMEA District Festival in 2014\, 2016\, 2017\, and 2018; and she performed her first solo recital on May 6\, 2017. Her second solo recital is free and open to the public. Free will donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to the Nate Kok Memorial Scholarship Fund. SUMMARY:Ben Zielinski - Solo Guitar Recital
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, November 11 at 4:00 pm\, Da Capo Music Studio in Elburn will host a solo guitar recital to raise money for Convoy of Hope. \nBen Zielinski\, a talented and hard working student\, began studying guitar at Da Capo in January\, 2016. Since then he has performed in 8 student recitals\, and several retirement communities throughout the area. He will be performing selected works by a variety of composers such as J.S. Bach\, Mauro Giuliani\, Fernando Sor\, and Ferdinando Carulli. \nConvoy of Hope\, a faith-based\, nonprofit organization\, has helped more than 80 million people throughout the world by sharing food\, water\, emergency supplies\, agricultural know-how\, and opportunities that empower people to live independent lives\, free from poverty\, disease and hunger. \nThe recital is free and open to the public.
